To export your slides from PowerPoint versions 2003, 2007, 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019, and including PowerPoint for Office 365, you had to edit several values in the Windows registry according to the Microsoft manual (the link to the Microsoft manual is at the bottom as source).
For this purpose, we at Rona Soft, decided to develop a small software for Windows 10, which will make the change of dpi to be a few clicks.
The software is designed to automatically detect installed versions of PowerPoint and allow you to choose which versions you want to change dpi when exporting.
PowerPoint limitations
The maximum values for different versions of Microsoft Office PowerPoint are different.
- PowerPoint 2019, 2016, 2013 and 365 have no restrictions on dpi resolution.
- PowerPoint 2010 and older maximum resolution is 3072 pixels on the longest side of the slide. For example, for A4 format 21cm x 29.7cm, the maximum print resolution dpi will be 3072 / 11.7 = 262.56 dpi which means 262 dpi, which will not be enough to print. In this case, use a newer version of PowerPoint.
The software is designed so that there is no limit to the dpi value you can enter, but keep in mind that for PowerPoint 2010 and older you may have an issue for very high dpi values.
Please close PowerPoint before changing dpi for saving / exporting.

The software is provided with the good intentions to allow the user to easily change the dpi when exporting to PowerPoint and in case of improper use and / or damage and others, Rona Soft is not responsible. The software is for personal use and freeware. See more in our Terms and Conditions.
